I approached Paul Abramson at the Humanist Forum on Sunday morning.  I told
him a bit about the COT, the vacancy, and that his name had come up as a
possible candidate.  I asked him if he were willing to discuss with us the
possibility of being nominated as a Trustee.  He said yes.  He asked that I
send him a copy of the latest minutes, a copy of the Trust document, and
anything else recent that would be helpful.  His e-mail address is

 I told him to be expecting to be interviewed by telephone by several people
in this process, both before being nominated and definitely after nomination
when the Board of Directors of the Chapter Assembly has to confirm or veto
our nomination. He indicated that would be no problem.

I plan to send him via email everything I can, and mail him a copy of the
trust document.  When he has had a chance to review them, we can continue the
discussions.  I doubt we will be able to make a nomination in time for the
Chapt Assem Bd of Directors meeting in Ohio on June 4 but it would be nice!
