Subject: GRN report Date: Tue, 6 Jul 1999 01:43:11 EDT From: PRochelle1@aol.com To: lloydk@teleport.com (Lloyd Kumley) CC: manysmiles@geocities.com, clgordon@earthlink.net, fgh@cruzio.com, PRochelle1@aol.com, PASE6560@pacbell.net Lloyd, I read in GRN that the packet I sent you in Ohio arrived in time for you to include items I sent in a report to chapters. I'm glad it made it! My copy of GRN seems to have a truncated version of your report and I couldn't find the conclusion anywhere in GRN. If you have a copy of your complete report submitted to GRN and it is easy to send, I would appreciate reading it. I notice in what you wrote that you had concern about only 23 days between the date applications are sent to chapters and the date they are to be received by COT. It was our intention to have the GRN publish the preliminary grant application in September so that chapters could be making their plans as early as September. The reason the final application cannot be sent until January 15 is that the application includes the amount available for grants and that is not available until January 10. The preliminary grant application can be prepared by the chapters in the fall of the previous year and submitted on the final application form in the 23 day window in January and February. The above schedule was the best one we could envision for the granting calendar. I'm sure experience and the expertise of others could make it better, which will no doubt happen. Your suggestions are welcome. Paula Rochelle
