2004
Darwin Day was initiated in 1994 and was first incorporated as a nonprofit organization in 2000 – since that time it has steadily grown so that in 2003 and 2004 there were more that 300 events around the world, in each of these years. Attendents levels at some of these activities were very high exceeding 500, especially those sponsored at Civic and University venues. While others events drew smaller numbers, together they represented an impressive exposure to the idea of celebrating Darwin, Science and Humanity. Events from 2004 celebrations are posted below and you can browse them for ideas for your own celebration.
